Eitan Baron founded GREENSTONE in 2006 with the goal of building small-scale,
high-quality property development projects and focusing exclusively on
environmentally friendly Brownstone refurbishments in New York City.
Baron sold both companies in 2006 to create Greenstone, where
he also serves as a consultant on green construction ventures and
undertakes select renovation projects. A Park Slope Brownstone
development was the first Greenstone project where Baron was
able to realize his ideas for a high-efficiency building that's both
environmentally friendly to the city and cost-friendly to its residents.
A BETTER BUILDING CONCEPT
Previously, Baron was the founder and president of ZXB Advanced
Construction and Renovation, a New York City-based company
that was general contractor for around 200 condominium units
between 2003 and 2006, as well as an offshoot interior renovation
company, ZXB Design & Service, which specialized in both
residential and retail renovations.
Custom design, high-end materials, and never cutting
costs are all part of Baron's building concept. He has
been cited in numerous publications as an expert on
efficient building, and he was chosen to be part of
the LEED for Homes in New York City evaluation
committee in 2007.
